I had hybrids made 2 times before my wedding (for hen and wedding). This is a nice option for trips or people who do not like painting nails with traditional varnishes (e.g. me). Hybrids stay on nails for about 2 weeks, and in the case of fast-growing nails regrowth may appear after a week. For me it was so, so to survive to 2 weeks I painted them with ordinary varnish (of a similar shade).
Everything was ok until I took off the hybrids. My nails were in a deplorable condition, and I never had problems with them. They broke, split and were very soft.
I thought that the issue of damaged nails was the fault of the salon in which I made hybrids, so after a few years I decided to buy hybrids again, but this time in the OPI salon. I really liked the shade from the Hello Kitty by Opi series - Let's be Friends! This color is a beautiful powder pink. I have had Hello Kitty on my nails several times (I still like it a lot).
I had 5 nails on my nails times, but I decided to take a break. I felt my nails getting softer and thinner with each application. Unfortunately, in my case, hybrids damage nails very much, and getting them to their previous state costs me too much. At the moment my nails are very broken, so I have to shorten them successively.
Now, every day, I rub linseed oil into my nails, they are filed for a short time, and for the last week I haven't painted them with anything except conditioner.
Will I return to hybrids? Maybe I will make hybrids again for Piotr's cousin's wedding in August, but I will not go back to applying them regularly. The condition of my nails is more important to me than comfort.
I have never had hybrids on my nails and I was always afraid that they could weaken nails 🙂
my nails after removing the hybrids are always in the same good condition as before putting them on, I always wear semilac varnishes because they last the longest with me, maybe your beautician saw your plate too much?
The tile was not sawn before applying the hybrids. She saw slightly when removing the hybrids to remove the hybrid that did not come off the liquid. For me, neither Semilac (I had 2 times, but I read the reviews about allergies, etc. and gave up this company) or OPI (the hybrid lasted longer than in the case of Semilac) did not work.
I've been making a hybrid myself since February this year. Sometimes I take off one and apply the other immediately, but most often I have about a week break between them. I have split nails. I did not notice the severity of the problem. On the contrary, sometimes I have the impression that since hybrid times my nails have got stronger. I use Semilaca top and vitamin base, and colored varnish from various cheaper companies.
Perhaps it is a matter of vitamin series. I don't know, I don't know much about hybrids, I've always given myself to beauticians 🙂
My nails were all hybrid.
How often have you made a hybrid?
Well, I think the nails were weaker too: /
Mine the same, after the picture were discolored, soft and thin, they broke right away 🙁
Jusw, after applying our products, the nail plate should not turn yellow. The reason may be too thin base layer or too rapid removal of hybrid nail polish, which may cause damage to the nail plate.

You may have had too much filed layer of nail plate. I don't know what it's called professionally, but you probably know what's going on. I never matt my nails with a nail file before applying the hybrid. I'm just degreasing and I'm flying. And the claws are much prettier, but on the other hand the hybyrd stays shorter. Another problem is that many people have been wearing hyrbyrid for too long and the plate is drying out. But the fact is that despite all this, I still had wavy nails after a while and until they grew, the wavy has not disappeared.
It was not a matter of matting the tile, because I didn't have it done. I always wore hybrids not all 2 weeks, because after about 9-10 days I had a very big regrowth.
Finally, someone wrote honestly. All this craze for hybrids already annoys me, and bloggers who get hybrid varnish from sponsors are the most impressed.
I will not beat around the bush that I have nails in great condition and they do not break at all 😉 Nevertheless, I like hybrids and I think they are very comfortable. In my case, however, only for special occasions.
