Why is it worth investing in good pots?

When I saw Mrs. Gadget Silit pots - I immediately fell in love. These pots are not only beautiful, but also really great quality (and it is known that quality also comes with the price).

silit pots reviewed

I have suffered from a lack of good pots since we moved - the ones we got unfortunately nie dishwasher safe (I didn't know that at the time) and after a while they just started falling apart. And the handle has fallen off, and this is the lid handle. We found it time to say goodbye.

We are supporters of good quality products that bought once - will serve for a very long time. I decided that the best purchase would be the 4-part Vanilla set.
The kit includes:
- low pot with a capacity of 3,1 and diameter 22cm,
- high pot with a capacity of 2,7 and diameter 18cm,
- high pot with a capacity of 4,7 and diameter 22cm,
- high pot with a capacity of 6,2 and diameter 24cm.
I usually use smaller pots, but when cooking for guests - I reach for larger ones. Silit pots are ceramic pots made of Silargan® without nickel (it is worth paying attention to not poison yourself!). They can be used to bake dishes in the oven and also use them on all types of stoves - from gas to induction. We also noticed this because we are planning to move to a new housing estate where there is no gas stove.
The most interesting element of these pots are the lids they have steel edge. Thanks to this, when removing the lid it is more difficult to burn with steam. For me it's a big plus, because I cook quite chaotically and I was often able to burn myself. Pots are heavy, at first they were too heavy for me, but with time I got used to it. The fact that they are made of thick material affects the long keeping heat - thanks to this I do not waste gas on reheating the dinner. It should be remembered that if we want something to cool quickly - it is best to transfer it to another dish (these pots really they keep warm long!).
Another plus is the possibility of washing these pots in the dishwasher. Since we have a dishwasher - I have not used to washing dishes in a traditional way. I think that a dishwasher is a huge time saver that can be used in a different way. Silit pots have up to 30 years warranty! A set of 4 pots on the manufacturer's website costs 2 799 PLN. I ordered them here. If you don't need 4 pots or need other sizes - see the page with single pots: here. Additionally at a promotional price you can find a set of 5 pots for PLN 2499! If you don't like the vanilla set - here you can find other pot colors and models.

I realize that most people buy pots in Ikea. I value high quality (I also direct a blog to such people), as well as my health (pots are nickel-free) that's why I chose Silit pots, not Ikea.

Due to the fact that I am also allergic to nickel I bought these pots already 5 years ago and I am very happy. Friends and family turn green with envy 🙂 but that is not the point. In fact, they cook great in them. It's been so many years, and they still have a beautiful color (I chose the cherry one) despite being washed in the dishwasher. Recently, I decided to give myself a gift and buy pans from this series.
As for amazon, I heard that Chinese fakes are often sold there and you have to be careful with it. In addition, they have no warranty on the Polish market, which was another downside for me. Because the pots have a 30 warranty for a year, this is an important detail.
Sum sum sumarum pot with Silargan I say definite YES!

I have also heard that they sell Amazon or 2 genre. A friend bought a tempted price, and later it turned out that the pots came scratched, in a torn cardboard as if someone had already used them. She decided to return them, the cost of sending to Germany is not small - amazon does not return the whole because only to 10 Euro.
I bought my own in a Polish online store and I am satisfied with both the price and the service. I heartily recommend silargan pots, I found promotions.

We also ordered in Poland on the manufacturer's official website. We made a wedding present in the form of these pots. I recommend cleaning the Silita liquid. Even if you burn something, it easily goes down 🙂

For me, the criterion when choosing pots is where they were made. Unfortunately, most of them are Chinese. Silit pots can be bought cheaper, e.g. on German Amazon.

Good to know! Is the 30 warranty valid then?

Unfortunately, a lot of products are made in China 🙁 Worst, often with very low quality materials.

Hello all. And I'm just allergic to nickel and palladium and now that I read so nickel is actually everywhere - in food, I could exchange what I can eat faster than what I must not. of course in pots and with that we have contact every day, clothes, accessories, I can forget about jewelry and hair dyeing, in cosmetics too. Think about your health and healthy food. Since you recommend it, don't think about it anymore and I'll make a Christmas gift for you too. Greetings!!

It's worth investing in these pots. I am still a huge fan of them and I think they are worth every zloty. It is true that we had to advertise one pot (the smallest), because the edge began to rust, which should not have happened. I suspect that this is a matter of dishwasher, but maybe it was also a factory defect. I do not know. Fortunately, there was no problem and they replaced the pot with a new one.

Of course, you need to use kitchen utensils that do not scratch the surface, however, any scratches that may appear during use do not affect the quality of the surface.

They look nice, they certainly work great. But space is affordable; P

The price is high for some and low for others. It is possible to split payments into installments 😉

  6. Avatar Martyna G. 15 November 2015 / 19: 14

I bought such for a piece over 500 and they have been used for a long time. This price cannot be surpassed for me 😛

    • Avatar [Email protected] 16 November 2016 / 19: 31

Check what they are made of. It's not always worth suggesting a price, because health is the most important thing 🙂

  7. Avatar Sailing 14 November 2015 / 08: 27

It's a fact, the ground is good pots. 🙂

  8. Avatar Ika 14 November 2015 / 00: 13

Quite resistive price, I think I couldn't afford it yet 🙂

  9. Avatar crazy 13 November 2015 / 21: 39

I'm just looking for some good new pots 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 14 November 2015 / 12: 22

In that case, think about buying these. You certainly won't be disappointed 🙂

  10. Avatar Kasia 13 November 2015 / 11: 19

I think that buying pots for this price is too much.
Of course, it's worth investing in good equipment and it's an investment for a long time, but it's too much for me. I assume that you can buy a little cheaper and good dishes. Keep the money for something else 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 13 November 2015 / 16: 43

Medium quality pots are replaced about every 5 years. During the 30 years, 6 sets come out for an average of 450 PLN, or 500 PLN. What gives 2700 PLN - 3000 PLN. in 30 years. The bill is simple - what is more profitable? 🙂 We recognize the principle once and for all. In addition, by using these pots you save money when cooking. They heat up faster and keep warm for longer, approx. 1h after cooking.

    • Avatar Jolanta Pers 14 November 2015 / 10: 51

And for these 30 years, you won't break any of these pots, burn them or otherwise damage them, yeah.

I do not change the pots every 5 years, the vast majority of the pots I have are 10 and more (and this is no grazing, IKEA, Tescoma, this class). Sometimes something will be changed (see point one), but replacing ALL pots every 5 years makes as much sense as scrapping the car, because the ashtrays have overflowed that I would recommend so classic.

These are just pots - they do not have any wonderful properties, they do not tap and do not tie ties. So they cost some 3 x too much.

    • Avatar [Email protected] 14 November 2015 / 12: 21

First, these pots are nickel free, and most cheap nickel has. This is not beneficial to our health, the more so as someone uses such pots every day, risking their and their family's health. Secondly, they may not tap, but reduce gas and electricity consumption (depending on who has the stove) - further savings.

In addition, they keep you warm up to an hour (you don't have to heat dinner, you don't use gas, electricity, etc. again) - more savings.

Believe me that even with small culinary abilities it is difficult to burn this pot, because it has a thick bottom.

Besides, I don't order anyone to buy these pots, I just review them and recommend them to people who are looking for a good product 🙂

  11. Avatar Onyxia 12 November 2015 / 19: 24

Nice guarantee, but the price is really high ...;]

  12. Avatar Natasza Miszczuk 12 November 2015 / 18: 22

Tell me how long the cooking is? Because I have a set of pots with a fairly thick bottom, it's great that they keep warm, but cook something in them, but it takes ... and I do not belong to the patient.

    • Avatar [Email protected] 12 November 2015 / 18: 25

The pots, apart from the fact that they keep warm for a long time, also heat up quickly 🙂 probably even faster the water boils than in previous pots that we had.

  13. Avatar Malinka M. 12 November 2015 / 18: 13

Pots are great and a big plus for keeping warm. However, the price for me is too high even with 30 one year warranty 🙂

  14. Avatar Beauty Land 12 November 2015 / 18: 06

It's nice, but the price is impossible for me.
