Fighting acne ... my very personal story

How to fight acne?

I started fighting acne for good

Acne can change people. I will not believe if the person who fights with him says that he never broke down ... never shed a tear looking in the mirror. I struggled with acne from high school 1. It was then that the huge stress associated with the confusing family situation caused that everything was reflected on my face.

When I look at photos from that period I see all the bad things that were happening then. I can say that my face was a map where every pimple meant something that had happened. This fight was terrible. Terribly long and expensive. Monthly visits to a dermatologist, expensive ointments every month, tablets that did nothing.
I don't even want to count how much money I've spent to feel better, to see myself better. I feel that I wouldn't count ... I don't think I want to, because it is money dumped. You can see how it was in the photo below. That's how my face looked like a few years ago. Today, when I tell others that I used to have terrible acne, no one believes. Now you can see for yourself and believe ...
Fighting acne ... my very personal story

Time for change for the better, i.e. winning the fight against acne

Studies were a time when my life changed, and probably the most with me. I have undergone a complete makeover. I cut my hair, which I wore to my waist all my life, and began my adventure with makeup. It was then that this blog was created (on the blog.pl platform).
To this day, I do not know where I got this strength, which then pushed me to action. This great desire to change gave a good kick. I started to look for the answer: what can be the reason for acne, how to fight it. There were many ups and downs. I have cried more than once looking in the mirror and not once thought about myself badly. I experimented, I was looking for a good dermatologist who will finally help me. Unfortunately, none of them did it.
Today I can say that I won the fight against acne alone. In the first photo you can see the current state of my face. I only have Dr. G. BB cream on my face, I read a lot, searched, and finally found a few products that helped me.
Has the fight against acne changed me ?!
Very ... although I still look in the mirror and look for my imperfections. Today, however, I know how to fight them.
I still see something on my face from time to time, but I promised myself that my skin would never look the same again. I will fight for it with all my might.

I currently use

- I wash my face: Cetaphil + every other day Tchibo sonic toothbrush
- other: I use it once every 2 weeks Darsonval

I fought with acne twice - once when I was a teenager and now (now I'm 27). The first time I used tonics based on antibiotics and alcohol. Now I have won, I hope for good because the effects are amazing because for several months - I use EPIDUO ointment once a day, every two days cethapil - it clogs me a bit, I wash my face with an emoticon cube and I protect the face with a UV bandi from a professional line :)

I had this ointment but it didn't work for me. However, Cetaphil is not surprised why it clogs you - take a look at the composition. It's tragic. Unfortunately, I also used this product until a friend with a cosmetic education told me to look at the composition and throw it in the bin.

I now use colloidal silver to wash my face (I only wash my face with water when I wash the peeling or mask). Day and night cream so bio oxygen (cream-gel). I also spray the face with thermal water before applying the cream.

Congratulations on winning against acne 🙂 I have been tired of saying 10 for years .. Unfortunately, in my case I had 5 to approach dermatologists. Each of them on the machine prescribed medication (of course the strongest isotek and weaker tetralysal) with Izotek, I probably had 5 approaches. After half a year after the last pill, acne was unfortunately coming back. Like you, I read a lot, tried to fight it, tested cosmetics, but unfortunately it didn't help. After my last visit to a dermatologist and prescribing tetralysal, I decided to go for a blood test. I did all the tests, thyroid, hormones etc. on my own. I read what could be the reason. I went with the results to a gynecologist, she prescribed contraception for me, but she said that I have to go to a dermatologist anyway I looked for a dermatologist with good reviews. Strangely, this dermatologist listened to me, she inquired about how it was before. She said that as the third time did not help me, the next doses did not make sense. So a lot of money was wasted.
Fact. She prescribed me drugs, but not as strong as the ones mentioned above, but she said that I had to do two more blood tests and go to the endocrinologist with the results. I'm just waiting for your visit. I have elevated 3 results.
In the meantime I went to the beautician who just recommended Darsonval and I am waiting for delivery 🙂
I read on your blog about this miracle and when it comes to oils used with this treatment, what does it look like? Do you apply oil and then use darsonval? The effects are better? What oil do you apply?

    • dpblogpl dpblogpl 12 March 2019 / 14: 01

Hey, thank you very much, this is not a good time to congratulate you, because for several days I have been struggling with a subcutaneous lump that has jumped from too much stress. I always have it that when I'm nervous a giant jumps up on my chin, which hurts like hell. Fortunately, darsonval accelerated healing because I suspect I would normally fight a minimum of 2 weeks.

I admire I would be afraid to take Izotek. He has so many side effects that it's fear. The more that some of them are really not much fun. And when it comes to ineffective treatment with a dermatologist, you don't have to say anything. I don't even want to know how much money I left for treatment - pills, antibiotics, ointments, some weird spreads ...

So are these thyroid related issues? Interestingly, I have hypothyroidism, but I cured my acne before I started to cure this ailment. Now I take euthyrox and look forward to seeing an endocrinologist, but this one only at the end of April.

I use Resibo oil (darsonval), but for some time I use darsonval myself, and then apply this serum. Not always, because sometimes my skin reacts badly to this product. I can't fully verify what is the reason. I think my face is just moody and that's it ...

    You look great !! 🙂
I see that you also had a problem with these subcutaneous bumps 🙁 and they are the worst just ...
It's good that you found your ways .. I also have this sonic toothbrush 😀 ALe about the cream, just the sevolum has worked for me 🙂 for anything else, it's important to try 😉

Yes, I had a lot of them. I remember that they hurt a lot and they stayed on for a long time. I now use So Bio cream, which is very good for me. I don't use the brush anymore because it broke 🙁

My fight against acne has been going on for around 6lat. I visited a lot of detmatologists and none of them was able to help me, money thrown away as they say. I used many ointments (zinc oxide ointment and paste, cleansing gels that they advertised on TV and which I read somewhere in the newspaper, contraceptive pills prescribed by a gynecologist) I have experimented a lot to exchange in all possible ways :) My acne is very heavy and leaves scars, in addition, I have oily skin and no creams help. Believe how must makeup look when it is warm and my face literally flows down despite the fact that I do not use anything more than a foundation which of course I can not change because I only worsen situations and natural bamboo powder. I also used rice but I don't know why it irritated my skin. My last discovery was benzacne ointment, I will also add that I only use natural tar soap (it smells bad but you get used to it and it is only to order in herbal stores) the ointment helped a little but dried my skin so much that my face was off because I had the strongest dose . My skin has the ability to quickly get used to drugs and after a while it stops helping. The old nurse advised me to buy Bittner herbs and wash them where there are pimples, and then lubricate them with ordinary Sudocrem baby cream and it turned out to be a hit! Heals quickly and leaves no scars. I wonder for how long I hope that my fight will end 😉

Hi Agne, I'm glad you shared your story about fighting acne. I see that it is as complicated and difficult as it was mine. I have controlled rashes - before bleeding and when I eat something not very healthy. The last few days, unfortunately, pimples spill me out of stress, which is associated with the poor health of our bunny. I use darsonval on a spot basis almost every day. In addition, I found the So Bio oxygen cream that I use day and night and which is really great! I have the impression that heals pimples faster and is natural. My skin (strangely) loved him. I also have a BB cream from this company, but I also put oxygen under it. I tap and only apply BB cream.

I tested aleppo soap, but after it I had even more spill. It was the same with minerals. In addition, I have the impression that my skin needs strong hydration. I moisturize it from the inside, but also from the outside with this so bio cream.

I wish you a lot of strength in the fight against imperfections. Have you tried darsonval?

  6. Avatar Tamara 9 August 2018 / 10: 37

Hi everyone! I was going through a similar hell, only it lasted for 2 years and the last resort was anti-acne cream. I didn't think it would work, because I hadn't heard of it before, but I didn't know what else to buy. It wasn't cheap, but I'm telling you the effect is great, after a month the skin was practically healed.

    • dpblogpl dpblogpl 9 August 2018 / 12: 09

Sometimes, we don't expect great effects from products we don't know, and they can really surprise you. It's great that you found the product for yourself.

You've gone through a lot, sorry. For my part, I can recommend sevolium to you all, because it really helped me, although I did not have such terrible acne. It moisturizes and is 100% natural.

    • dpblogpl dpblogpl 10 July 2018 / 16: 11

Unfortunately, 6 years of fighting acne are a lot of time. Fortunately, Darsonval turned out to be my huge ally. This device really helped me a lot!

I really like the mediqskin gel I have been using for pimples for some time. Quickly after it blemishes disappear and the skin is really smooth

I don't know this gel. Is it used on points or on the whole face?

I managed to fight acne, but that year he came back to me again - in such intensity that I never had. During these 9 months I managed to get everything in order, it gets better day by day. I know how hard it is and I hope that one day I will win this fight - for good.

    • Avatar [Email protected] 18 August 2016 / 07: 47

My acne has come back recently (I suspect that too many experts with face care cosmetics). I came back to proven cosmetics, darsonval, masks and I already see improvement.

  11. Avatar Anonymous 10 May 2016 / 20: 38

I recommend 4akne tablets, they have moisturizing properties, nicely improve the appearance of the skin, low price, very good product.

    • Avatar [Email protected] 10 May 2016 / 20: 59

I used them, but they did nothing. Waste of money in my case ...

  12. Avatar Anonymous 7 November 2015 / 18: 39

    Congratulations on perseverance 🙂
I did it too, with great difficulty, but my face care is a little different:
    1. He washes his face with gray soap
    2. Toner also colloidal silver
    3. Destroy the pimple day and night cream
No pills of expensive treatments and dermatologists. Except that I had a worse complexion than you, and now? Zero problems 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 7 November 2015 / 19: 42

Thank you for your comment. I am very happy that you managed to win the fight! My face and body don't like soaps. The famous aleppo caused a monstrous rash that I treated for several months.

It's better now, although recently I have had a small spill again. Colloidal silver is my huge favorite.

Since the writing of the note, my care has changed several times, I will have to update.

    • Avatar Anonymous 9 November 2015 / 13: 48

Unfortunately, not everyone can wash their face with soap. I also have a strange feeling of "pulling off" as if I was wearing a mask. Only that I wash my face with soap first, then tonic, wipe with a PAPER TOWEL and cream destroy the pimple. And the feeling of "pinching" the face disappears 🙂
      Pozdrawiam

    • Avatar [Email protected] 9 November 2015 / 14: 16

I agree. Since childhood, soap has badly affected my skin (I've also tried natural soaps and the same effect - the skin is dry and itchy). I use face gels and shower gels (without SLS, of course!).

I also use a paper towel. I can't imagine how I could ever wipe my face with a regular towel ...

I recommend the Sylveco linden micelle - it moisturizes the skin 🙂

  13. Avatar robin 15 January 2015 / 08: 42

Unfortunately, people often lack empathy and belittle the problems of other people. Often a person who has not experienced a given ailment does not understand why it is so important to us, because "people have worse problems". Each person is an individual and everyone experiences differently in their own way.
I wish you a nice day and best regards 🙂

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 15 January 2015 / 17: 04

Unfortunately, people can be cruel. Especially if someone is different. I came across several doctors who thought that my problem is not a problem at all, because there is no tragedy. Well, why treat, if it is not so bad. That's why I gave up the help of dermatologists and took matters into my own hands.
      I also greet :)

  14. Avatar carolina 9 January 2015 / 16: 53

Once I had a problem with acne, I had such a terrible forehead. Fortunately, the problem passed quite quickly, i.e. it did not disappear by itself. I bought myself a liquid, I don't remember the name now, but it was strong for washing the face. They wrote on the leaflet twice a day, but I couldn't look at my forehead so much that I lubricated it more often. What came out of it ... I burned the skin on my forehead. It was brown. This effect remained for me for a month, my forehead looked terrible as dirty. It wasn't very wise on my part but well. That way I managed to get rid of him 🙂 I don't persuade anyone to do it for them! I just wanted to share information about how it was with me 🙂

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 10 January 2015 / 10: 28

Way a little extreme and I do not recommend anyone, but it's good that it helped you Ci

  15. Avatar Clarena 9 January 2015 / 11: 10

Congratulations to all who have won the fight against acne. I keep my fingers crossed for everyone who fights. It's hard to enjoy life when a person can't see the light in the tunnel and wonders if his face will ever look normal without any miracles ... just healthy. But despite this, you have to break, smile even forcefully and do something for yourself. Something that gives positive energy, improves mood, allows you to ventilate emotions, because otherwise you stress even more, close in, dead, bitter and it all comes out on your face. And all the time, the problems are driving each other. Good luck, I wish you all confidence and health 😉

Acne was bothering the whole junior high school! I lost my confidence a lot because of it, I have a problem with it today.

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 9 January 2015 / 08: 02

This is terrible. Junior high school is a stupid age :( I hope you will regain confidence over time. It is not worth losing a part of yourself through such situations. I keep my fingers crossed for you, good luck: *

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 8 January 2015 / 16: 35

Oh look, my serum works great, but the cream does not serve me. I have been looking for tonic in this series everywhere, but nowhere is it: /

    • Avatar magdahom 8 January 2015 / 18: 38

In Warsaw, I bought the tonic in the Natura erii drugstore

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 8 January 2015 / 20: 09

Hmm, I have to look for if there is Drogeria Natura somewhere else with me. She was, but now there is Hebe. I thought that Drogeria Natura did not exist anymore, and instead there was Hebe: P

  18. Avatar Natalia Orlik 8 January 2015 / 10: 55

I also had terrible acne. I have a few scars on my chin and forehead.

  19. Avatar magdahom 7 January 2015 / 20: 07

I have acne from 6. primary school classes, the worst in middle school and high school, purulent pimples pop up from time to time, and blackheads are common. Of course I would like to have a face as smooth as my husband's but oh well ... Hormones are okay and it's too late for an isotek treatment.

Anyway, I've never had a "breakdown" because of this - I took acne as a natural course of things, especially since compared to my classmate I was beautiful 😛 and thanks to BB cream today I can hardly see him 😉

this life, some (my husband, echhhh) have skin like a baby's ass, and others like me - mixed, acne, pale ...

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 20: 11

Or maybe it's better to fight for a smooth face? It's not like acne and it has to be. It can be overcome, but the process is very long ...

    • Avatar magdahom 8 January 2015 / 18: 38

Honestly? I have a problem finding a good gynecologist, and the motivation to process subsequent dermatologists even less 😛 Especially that the first lady dermatologist I treated with almost led to "burning" my skin, and the second doctor said "e what is this acne" and attributed to me something that didn't help me.

From what I realized, the only drug that could smooth my complexion completely isisotopes. However, it has a mass of serious side effects, so the doctor must carefully choose the dose and can not get pregnant for a long time, and this is currently my priority 😉

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 8 January 2015 / 20: 11

Hah I also had ... a dermatologist with whom I was told that I have no skin problems at all. However, I am not a bit surprised by her, because whenever I visited, my face was quite ok.

I would be afraid of this medicine. It carries so many side effects ...

I know many cases of girls who have a beautiful complexion after pregnancy: D

  20. Avatar Danccer 7 January 2015 / 18: 44

I fight acne all the time, I recently introduced care acids and I am very pleased! 🙂

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 20: 12

      Fingers crossed!
Acids have helped me a lot :)

  21. Avatar greenfrog 7 January 2015 / 17: 56

In fact, I probably never had the typical acne, but so far every now and then some pimples pop out. Somehow I do not care about it ... it could always be worse 🙂
for that my boyfriend had terrible acne ... 3 years ago began to take some mega-strong medicine, he had to give written consent, expensive toto terrible ... but the worst were the side effects - at the very beginning for some good days he had some mental breakdown, but luckily it passed. He had terribly dry skin, he had to cream all the time ... check his blood every now and then ... it was a massacre! After half a year he had too high sugar and had to stop the treatment, but fortunately the devil did not come back 🙂 and now he has a prettier face than me 😛

And your pimples did not look so bad jednak I'm glad, however, that you managed to win this fight - you have certainly regained confidence 🙂

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 18: 04

Believe me, this is one of the best pictures. Actually, there was a time when I tried to avoid photos because I couldn't look in the mirror. I agree, I regained my confidence, but it was not easy, because to this day it is somewhere deep in my head.

This medicine is terrible ... I wonder what that is. I would say that it paid off, but probably not necessarily, because the side effects were a little scary ... especially mental breakdown, although I heard that this is very common with Izotek. Maybe it was just Izotek, because there you probably sign a statement that they are not responsible for the side effects of treatment.

    • Avatar me, Cosmonaut 7 January 2015 / 18: 45

Sounds like a description of an isotretinoin treatment, there are many preparations with this ingredient, and Izotek is one of them 🙂

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 20: 10

It also sounded like this treatment to me. So, rather it was: /

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 18: 00

I hope so too. My problem is that the pimples are still hidden. Over time, they come out and threaten 😛

  23. Avatar avsloja 7 January 2015 / 16: 44

I have been fighting acne for 7 years. It started in the 6 primary school class, and the biggest spill was in three high school classes. And I also went to various dermatologists, until one day one of them directed me to examine the level of hormones. And there was a reason there. Now I am 4 years without hormonal drugs and fortunately I do not even have a single pimple, but my face is still full of scars and is a reason for complexes.

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 17: 46

      Fight, don't give up.
Maybe try to reduce the scars with Cepan ointment? It smells like hell, but it helps a lot. I myself had a great scar after a dog bite and this ointment helped me a lot.

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 7 January 2015 / 17: 38

Unfortunately, not only in the case of dermatologists is fragile with doctors. An example from my family: the doctor could not distinguish pneumonia from the child's rib in the X-ray. Embarrassing ...
