And so we got to the next series of notes (because until the end of the series of notes about the types of beauty we have only to discuss autumn and winter) - this time about herbs.
I hope that in this series you will learn a lot of interesting things about herbs, which are not always appreciated as they should.
Pepper mint - this is probably the best known type of herbs in our homes. It is most often used during stomach problems. Mint improves digestion and also stimulates the production of bile in the liver.
However, I learned from a doctor that mint should not be drunk when vomiting because it increases vomiting.
- volatile oils
- ascorbic acid
- oleanic and ursulic acid
- vit. C and A.
Excess mint can be used in eats, as it improves appetite.
It works antispasmodic on smooth muscles - that's why you can drink it during menstruation (I recommend instead of taking another tablet).
I also recommend drinking mint for sore throats, because it works soothingly. You can also use it for inhalation.
Due to the sedative effect - it is recommended for the treatment of migraines, neuralgia, seizures or insomnia.
Mint has disinfecting and slightly anesthetic properties.
In cosmetics mint is mainly used for relaxing tired skin, brightening dull skin, as well as in the fight against acne.
It is used in hair care because it helps to cope with dandruff.
Great as a hairbrush - it is enough to massage the hair with a few drops of oil - it accelerates hair growth.
And also to hair styling- 1-2 drops of peppermint oil will add shine to your hair and discipline your hair (I recommend it especially for people who have a problem with frizzy hair).
Mint is added to protective lipsticks because of its soothing properties. Mint has smoothing and softening properties.
Pure peppermint oil has a very strong effect, so you need to dilute it.
We can use for this:
- jojoba oil
- sweet almond oil
- olive oil
- avocado oil
Never apply more than 5-10 drops of oil to your hair or skin, because as I mentioned earlier - it has a very strong effect!
