How to quickly learn a foreign language?

Today, the note is not about beauty, but about our self-education. I really enjoy learning foreign languages. I regret all the time that I was not an urgent student in French, so today I know only a few words. I would like to share with you a method of learning a foreign language, which is useful in situations called emergency. Trip to another country? You don't have to worry about not getting along with anyone.

The truth is, if you know English in most countries, you'll be able to communicate. What if you are at odds with the English?

First of all, do not panic, just take yourself and use the 1000 flashcards. What is this and why do I think it's a good method? You'll find out in a moment.

I assume that when you go to a given country, it is worth at least knowing the basics on which you will be able to communicate with other residents. There are often emergency situations and it is in such situations that the 1000 words method will help you.

I once heard about this method in a video on Youtube. I don't even remember who it was anymore, I just remembered the slogan "1000 flashcards". I decided to check it on myself using a language I know (English).

Coming to another country, it is worth being able to introduce yourself, ask for directions or public transport or a nearby store. All you need is 1000 words and you will probably find out that you won't use them all in the conversation.

I know from experience that people don't use more words. Try to count how much one day different you used words to communicate with others. Surprised? 😉

On the internet, you can find lessons using the 1000 method of words in the mp3 format. On the way to school or work, instead of idly looking out the window, you can learn something. Very cool 1000 vocabulary lessons from English can be found here. The teacher has a nice voice, so she won't distract you.

Of course, I'm not saying that this method is good in the long run. I recommend using it only when we are going somewhere on vacation or a short period of time. When we plan to stay in a country longer, it is worth adding other words to your dictionary that you will be able to use.

Have you ever used the word 1000 method? Did it work with you?

Basics for sure, but then I recommend expanding your knowledge 🙂

I heard about this method, but somehow I don't like to learn the words. A very nice way to learn English is to listen to the radio in this language, watch the series (eg Friends). We then learn a living language 😉
But the 1000 method of words can actually be useful when traveling to a country as a form of quick learning.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work, because you just don't understand these words and you get irritated that you don't understand anything. It was so in my case; P

of course, one does not understand everything at once, but then comes out of the context of the sentence and everything is clear 😉

I just have to get on with English. I have read books and repetition of vocabulary from the English final exams.

During the holidays, I only learned 200 words, then I got bored and started reading books in English: a more pleasant and interesting method, and by the way I learned how to build sentences 🙂

This is also a good method, but you need to know the basics, otherwise you won't do anything.
