How to start writing a blog and where to start?

Many of you have probably thought about running a blog / channel on social media or YouTube, doing 'something' in general. When I talk to people, on average every 2 person wanted to start a blog at least once. How many of these people are starting a blog? A handful, maybe even less.

Unfortunately, it is often the case that people who want to start a blog are not aware of how to go about it. I hope this post will help you gather and act.

How to start writing a blog

How to start a blog?

Many people have a passion, something they are interested in, something they like. However, not everyone can talk about it, and even less can write about it. I have always approached my blog not as an unpleasant obligation, but as an investment in the future. Of course, you can delete a blog, but some trace of it will always be on the web. Today, blog is our place, which we create every day - by writing posts or social media activity. There are days like today that I sit down at the computer and just write. There are days that I have nothing interesting to write.
When one of my friends mentioned that she had the idea of starting a blog, we immediately started to help. We love talking about blogging, our mistakes we've made, and warning others not to make them. I also talked about this in February on Insta live on our Instagram profile (see our profile if you don't know it yet: click).
If you want to start blogging, write 30 posts. This is a good foundation that will allow you to move and not lose enthusiasm. The beginnings are difficult, let's face it. If you don't have someone to help you with all this, you will probably be overwhelmed by technical issues such as finding / modifying a template or setting widgets. Not to mention the newsletter or subscription configuration. If you have no idea what I'm talking about - better read Blogger's guidebefore you publish your first post.
In one of Tomek Tomczyk's books (known as Kominek or Jason Hunt) I read very wise words about the fact that many blogs end their activity on the first post. It's true, although I won't say - it's good for us, because we know ... less competition (joke).

Running a blog by force - you can feel it!

Do you think that every blogger runs a blog with passion? There are various reasons - Janusze blogging count on a freelance, others are blogging, because they started and regret to end them, although they have nothing interesting to say anymore, and others run a blog because they like it. We are in the last group, although it is not always colorful. Sometimes there is no strength, sometimes there is no motivation, and sometimes there is simply no inspiration.
Several times I came across a girl's blog (a few months apart), which was run by force. What was the reason? I don't know, that would have to ask the author. Unfortunately, the blog is not run with the heart just to feel. It is difficult to determine, but if you come across such a blog, you will immediately understand what I meant.

What did the blog give us and why will we keep blogging for many years?

The blog has been our bargaining chip more than once. Whether it's looking for a job, in college, or in contact with other people. A blog is something that we manage to interest most people we've ever spoken to. People are just curious about why we blog and very often also how it brings benefits (unfortunately, people still think about bloggers as people who lie and smell, get #darylosu from companies and wonder how to get alcohol from a reunion of bloggers).
We never talk about the amounts we earn from blogging. If someone delves into the subject, then we operate the range, because it's easier this way. People like to be interested in other people's lives and enter their wallet. I will never understand it because I don't look into my wallet, but if you prefer.

Nevertheless, a blog is a way of life for us. We like what we do and others appreciate it which for us is a great motivation to continue. And most importantly - we are not standing still, we are constantly looking for ways to attract new readers - whether through interesting topics on the blog or social media activities (for just 4 months our Instagram profile has grown at an extraordinary pace!).

It's worth writing a blog. Reasons can be mentioned a lot. For me, a blog can be a source for a book, and at the beginning a fitting for it.

It depends on the topic of the blog. Unfortunately, many bloggers are now releasing their books that are about nothing. However, you can find valuable titles such as the book "want less" of one of the very cool bloggers.

It's true that you feel it when someone writes by force

Oh my ... blogs written by force is the biggest failure of today's blogosphere. People write even though they don't want to, and they do it just to benefit from it. You don't read it well, and most importantly - you just don't go back there. Why waste your time and someone else's? I have no idea ... It is a bit unpleasant situation, but let's not be afraid to talk about it openly.

    Best wishes.

Super post. Everyone has high moments and those leading to a fall. Blogs written by force are neither interesting nor valuable. It also annoys me that someone is able to promote something when a given thing gets.
    Regards.

If it's valuable, why not? I do not understand how someone can promote something that has not been tested - such cases also happen ...

I remember how I missed writing when I quit blogging the first time, although I went in a completely different direction now because it was a diary and today a cosmetics blog, this is my stepping stone and I would not be able to stand it without it, although sometimes I need a break

I have to write down my ideas because wanting to write something looser that will come to my mind later I unfortunately forget about it 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 19 August 2017 / 16: 04

I have it too, or if I come up with an idea before bedtime and I don't want to get up for the notebook anymore. And I fall asleep thinking 'don't forget'. Of course, in the morning I don't remember what it was all about ...

    A great post.
I am a student of journalism, many people from the field tried to start their blog activity. Unfortunately, most of them ended up on this one and only entry.
I really like blogging. This year I was able to appear at See Bloggers for the first time. I came back charged with positive energy, my head full of ideas. Now I will have another meeting near my place of residence. Thanks to them I have the opportunity to meet people more experienced in blogging 🙂
Gifts of fate are cool, who doesn't like presents. However, they are not the most important thing. People who count only on drama will not survive in the blogosphere.
    Regards!

So we have to meet at See Bloggers next year. I will gladly remind you of this comment and say 'see how much has changed since then, how many wonderful things you have done!' And I wish you this with all my heart 🙂

Your text gave me a lot to think about my blog. I've had it for a year and I have the impression that I have the most creative inspiration and motivation to write in autumn and winter. Somehow now I write posts that I left in working hours for a rainy day to clog the "hole" and wait until fall. Maybe it's burnout, I don't know, but thanks to this article I will definitely take a look again at my blog history and think about whether it makes sense to go further. Thank you.

Just such comments give me the biggest motivational kick. Those that confirm that what we do makes sense. Thank you for your comment.

The only way I know to start blogging ... is just to start 🙂 When I started the Black Box I had an idea for some 3-4 posts. And here 44 came out 🙂 I think I like it ...

You probably like it, and your blog is proof of that. I keep my fingers crossed for your blog successes 🙂

A very smart post. I also sometimes have moments of weakness and I'd like to remove my blog, but small things: comments or even observations are very happy. The truth is that to have a blog you have to devote a lot of time and work to it. And it is these two things that lead to success. Regards 😉

    • Avatar [Email protected] 17 August 2017 / 13: 04

Yes, exactly as you say. Sometimes even one comment can change the attitude to blogging in times of blog crisis.

Very nice post, the most important is to like what you do, because running a blog "by force" does not make any sense, sooner or later such a blog will fall.

    • Avatar [Email protected] 17 August 2017 / 13: 05

Usually yes, although unfortunately some are still despite the passage of years and are doing well ...

I also come across such blogs written by force. I guess just to get these darylos. On one blog I even came across an 1 entry, where the girl wrote that she set up a blog because she watches how others get different things to test and she also wants so. Of course, in her comments she wrote that this approach would not get far. Because a blog takes much more time than you think, so if you don't like it, you'll either give up or you'll do it anyhow and enjoy these free products.

      About mummy. It's good that I didn't find such a blog, because I don't think I chose words ...
