Is it worth investing in Emu shoes?

Just a few years ago, if someone had told me that I would walk in EmuI would probably tap my head. Today I am totally enchanted with these shoes and I must admit that I wear them in autumn and winter whenever I can. Many times I wondered what shoes are the best for the winter, which ones will be the warmest for me? Now I know. Emu shoes are expensive, it's obvious. However, it is not worth buying fakes, just put down the money and buy the original.

I don't like winter very much, I'd like to live somewhere where the whole year is warm. Unfortunately, in Poland we have 4 seasons and we also have to deal with terrible cold. Last year, winter gave a hard time. After passing Orkan, it was still terribly cold. I am frost and I freeze at temperatures below 15 degrees. My feet and hands are always the coldest. I decided to put an end to freezing, not looking at the look of my shoes (even though I fell in love with Emu, I still think they are not very beautiful: P).

I read a lot, I chose (unfortunately in Poland the availability of Emu is at least average) increasingly stranger models and lengths. The choice fell on the model Paterson Mini chocolate. Although I wanted black (of course it was not), now I do not regret the choice.

I chose the Paterson model for a very simple reason - this model is waterproof. I happen to encounter rain in them (nothing happens to them), but it's worth remembering that they are not wellies that can handle a great downpour. Either way, even wet snow doesn't scare them.

The second argument that it is worth investing in the original is primarily the sole. There is a stereotype that emus twist their feet. Yes, fakes do. The sole of the original emus is made so that even the most pronating foot does not contort from walking in these shoes.

The most important argument is warmth. Since I bought my emu, I don't remember what it means to freeze in the feet. The idea of wearing these shoes in the summer and bare feet does not speak for me. Even in the coldest temperatures I put on ordinary socks and I'm not worried that I'll freeze. In addition, emus do not have slippery soles, which I was probably afraid of the most. It is true that meeting with ice may end badly, but light ice is not scary for these shoes.

Is it worth buying emu shoes?

If you're thinking about emu, I'll tell you one thing ... it's really worth it. It is worth investing, but only in the original version. It is better to save money than to buy fakes every year, which distort the legs and have the usual sheepskin coat that can be found in every winter boot. Original emus, if someone cares for them, they can serve up to several years. An example is my colleague from a former job (A. greetings to you dear: *) whose unearthly stingers look like new after a few years! :)

What do you think about these shoes? Are you supporters or rather opponents?

hehe, I was trying to buy emuses for a long time, but finally I succeeded. Normally I would not spend 400 PLN + on such shoes but I managed to raise them after good money. I found them on one online store. Based on my experience, I can say that they are super comfortable and warm and this was the most important for me because I always had problems with cold feet; /

From what I see, they are actually original. But I don't see price differences compared to other stores. I can even say that some models are more expensive than the ones I presented 🙂

I don't have, they don't seem particularly beautiful to me, but I can understand why they have so many fans. They have a climate 😀 and it's warmth and comfort 😉

  3. Avatar Miss Platypus 3 November 2015 / 10: 35

I like them, I always used to buy fakes! but these delighted me and also waterproof. I didn't like the fakes that after a while the shoe bent and looked like someone had a platfoil 😀
I will think about buying because I'm very cold at the feet!
observes, I invite you to me for a longer time: *
    Kisses :*

I recommend, I just bought longer ones, in the same color - I'm waiting for them to come. And these exhibition for sale 🙂

I don't like flat shoes, I have to have a delicate heel. 🙂

  5. Avatar becomingbeauty 2 November 2015 / 21: 58

I do not have any very original emus, but despite all I am very happy with them! ; D are brilliant and there are no warmer 🙂

  6. Avatar Martyna G. 2 November 2015 / 17: 10

I don't like the emu visually, that's not all, of course. They have many advantages, they are perfect for winter :))

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 19: 19

In autumn and spring also. Emu can regulate temperature, thanks to which they heat in winter and cool in summer. In Australia, many people wear emus all year round 🙂

  7. Avatar Anna Bielaszewska 2 November 2015 / 14: 34

I had the usual fakes, if it is dry it is ok
but it is known neither for rain nor when the snow melts are no longer suitable

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 16: 19

Therefore, it is worth investing in original, waterproof - admittedly they are not wellies, but even during thaws they do not get wet. And there is no problem with washing them 🙂

  8. Avatar Marta Jot 2 November 2015 / 14: 00

I have nothing against these shoes as long as it has already been mentioned in the comments - the soles are bent 😉

  9. Avatar Marjory 2 November 2015 / 13: 29

I like emu shoes, but also only the originals because as I see these girls from counterfeit emu that so cut their legs aside, until something is doing to me ... pity feet 🙂 and health is priceless 🙂

    Regards.

Uggs are also nice, but more expensive than emu. Recently, I was measuring uggi with a bow in a van graaf. Charming 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 13: 47

I didn't like them either, but in the end I decided to buy them and I don't regret it - in the end I don't get sick because I don't get cold in my feet 🙂

  10. Avatar Jogobella .JK 2 November 2015 / 12: 38

I don't like them 😛 but if I had to choose between warmth and comfort I would buy them 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 13: 46

That's why I have them in my closet - I'm freezing my legs.

  11. Avatar Maddzik 2 November 2015 / 12: 10

In my opinion, Emu are suitable only for people without problems with foot valgus. I got the original Emu for Christmas and after 2 months they were useless and ended up in the basket 🙁

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 13: 45

And where did you buy your emu? I have a low instep and pronating foot and nothing happens 🙂

  12. Avatar Sailing 2 November 2015 / 11: 36

It may not look so beautiful in them, but it is incredibly warm and comfortable. 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 13: 44

It's a fact - they are not beautiful, although the new 'sandy' waterproof model looks much better 🙂

  13. Avatar societygirl-tests 2 November 2015 / 11: 04

This year will be the third winter when I bought purple Emu! State? I can say it's still perfect. I love them and definitely fakes can't match them. The leg is beautifully profiled, no leg escapes or twists when we walk, they are nice and warm. I believe that from time to time it is worth putting aside more money and investing in something better. Many people are unable to understand this and during the year they buy several models that fall apart etc. What is the point? None for me. 🙂

    • Avatar [Email protected] 2 November 2015 / 13: 44

I agree with you. I also prefer to invest in better shoes and wear them for several years. The brown emu from the photo wants to sell and buy longer, however (emu paterson lo). Where did you buy your emu? 🙂

These shoes that are in the picture look pretty cool, but many girls buy cheap fakes that quickly deteriorate and do not look good ... but the shoes themselves are great.

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 24 November 2014 / 14: 56

First of all, they are comfortable and warm. I did not consider buying fakes, because I saw how they look after a week of meeting with snow ... a nightmare.

    • Avatar yeneferx 1 December 2014 / 22: 50

And where did you buy your emu if you can know? :> Because I'm looking for winter boots 🙂

  15. Avatar Justyna 19 November 2014 / 11: 01

I do not love these shoes 😉

  16. Avatar Our-dwaswiaty 19 November 2014 / 07: 15

I also "banged on the head" hihihi 🙂 and now I'm gone 🙂

  17. Avatar nude shades 18 November 2014 / 19: 52

They are cool, but not for me. I move mainly by car, so ordinary ankle boots are enough for me, I don't even have to be insulated :)
    ps. cute template!

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 18 November 2014 / 20: 02

I am on public transport, so warm shoes are the basis :)
      Thank you ;*

I also like to pay for good shoes, it is a guarantee of health for me because I have problems with my spine and I prefer to have few shoes but the same in which you just swim and do not walk, maybe someday I will buy emu

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 18 November 2014 / 20: 01

I recommend Clarks shoes. I love models with Softwear technology. These shoes have a silicone insert under the metatarsus, which is where I most often experience pain when walking in higher shoes. I have wedges from this series (I can walk in them all day and my legs do not hurt at all!) And flesh-colored stilettos. Both pairs are very comfortable.
Just like you, I prefer to buy one more expensive and better quality shoe than poor quality 30.

    • Avatar me, Cosmonaut 18 November 2014 / 20: 45

Clarks, Ecco, Tamaris ... I love these companies! I don't have a lot of shoes, but the ones I have are really great and apart from sneakers / wellies, I've managed to replace almost all pairs with decent leather counterparts 🙂

    • Avatar me, Cosmonaut 18 November 2014 / 20: 45

(I especially recommend Tamaris models with Anti-Shokk technology!)

    • Avatar Barbara Ł. 18 November 2014 / 22: 02

I used to buy Jan and Rieker and Tamaris only have snow boots from that season

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 19 November 2014 / 11: 27

I don't know Tamaris. I have to take a look at it. Thanks for the info :)

  19. Avatar me, Cosmonaut 18 November 2014 / 19: 14

I am of the opinion that if the shoes are of good quality and we like them, it is always worth investing in them! 🙂 Personally, however, I think that Emu do not meet any of these conditions - many of my friends have the originals, but this view http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_fyJBxu6RtBk/S6vEk_T53YI/AAAAAAAACYw/Rb4mOISgoOU/s1600/Uggs.jpg is very common:] For me, a shoe that does not stiffen the ankle well is not a good shoe, and certainly not for the winter, when the risk of slipping and falling is high. And all in all the most important thing: for me, Emu are just unimaginably ugly jestem I'm a cold man too, but I think I'm too vain to get something like that 😉

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 18 November 2014 / 19: 58

As I wrote, my friend has already 5 year Emu stinger hi and has no heel curves. It probably also depends on whether someone has a posture defect. I suspect that after a few years people who have a problem with it may contort their legs, but I have not encountered it yet among people who have emu and UGG :)
Appearance is a matter of taste. I also don't think they are too beautiful, it's important that they are warm :)

    • Avatar me, Cosmonaut 18 November 2014 / 20: 43

To tell you the truth, I don't think all my friends have a bad attitude 😀

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 19 November 2014 / 11: 26

Probably not :) nothing is wrong with me and I have a pronating foot.
