Zoeva brushes after a year of use

zoeva bambooI got Zoeva Bamboo brushes at the beginning of December 2015. It's been almost a year, I use them. Am I still happy with them? Have I noticed any flaws? Or maybe the bristles began to fall out of them?

I invite you to review brushes Zoeva Bamboo after almost a year of use.

Zoeva Bamboo brushes

As a vegetarian, I decided to go for it Bamboo tube set - vegan. Initially, I wanted to choose the brushes separately, but when I counted the costs, it turned out that it would be much more expensive. The bristles in Zoeva Bamboo brushes are synthetic, very soft. The Luxury Set Vol. 2 includes brushes:
  • 103 Defined Buffer (for applying foundation),
  • 105 Highlight (for blush and highlighter),
  • 109 Face Paint (for contouring),
  • 128 Cream Cheek (cut to pink),
  • 142 Conclear Buffer (to the corrector),
  • 227 Soft Definier (for rubbing eye shadows),
  • 232 Classic Shader (for applying eye shadows on the entire eyelid),
  • 317 Wing Liner (oblique, for dashes)
The set lacked two things - eyebrow brushes, that's why I bought the Zoeva brush (it's a pity there is only one version - black. It's nice as if there was a version matching the Bamboo set) and 228 brush - Creasewhich I mainly use to rub eye shadows on the lower eyelid. It is thinner than those offered in the set, so it works great in this role. I don't need anything else right now.

Zoeva brush damage

I use my brushes everyday or at least several times a week. Not a single brush fell out of even the smallest brush. For the eyebrow brush, which is made of natural bristles, I must point out that it is more delicate and when I closed the tube, one of the hair bent backwards. I had to cut him because he didn't want to go back to his place.
In addition, I didn't notice any injuries when it comes to brushes. The handle was also not damaged, although I regularly brush my brushes. What to brush brushes You'll find out in a moment.

What to wash Zoeva Bamboo brushes with?

Synthetic bristles do not require as much effort as natural. Therefore, in this case, antibacterial soap (e.g. Protex cream) or a mild shampoo is sufficient. I usually brush the brushes twice a week, and when I don't have time to wash - I spray them with the Octenisept antibacterial spray. I also use it after each use, not only on brushes, but also blushes and eye shadows.

After cleaning the brushes, I put brush covers on them (click) that actually cause the drying bristles to stay in place. I suspect that thanks to the covers, the brushes look like new.

Is it worth buying Zoeva brushes?

I am very pleased with the Zoeva Bamboo Luxury Set Vol. 2 brush set, as well as the additional brush I bought (228 brush - Crease) and the eyebrow brush.

The products offered by Zoeva that I have come into contact with are of high quality. Although for many people they may seem expensive - the price is adequate to the quality. If you are still wondering if it is worth investing in good brushes, do not hesitate, because using Zoeva brushes is really a great pleasure.

Zoeva brushes - is it worth buying them?

brushes zoeva vegan bamboo

In January I became the owner of the dream set of brushes Zoeva Bamboo Luxury Set Vol. 2 set of brushes with a tube (vegan). I dreamed about them for a long time, because my previous brushes (I had them 5 years!) Began to fall apart slowly.

I talked about Zoeva brushes for a few months. I dreamed about them day and night ... Piotr knew about it and decided to give me a gift in the form of these beauties. He did it very tricky, because first I got a fudge with the inscription "Mintishop". Best of all - I didn't associate the fact that fudge and brushes have anything in common. Without much emotion I ate fudge, not paying attention to the logo (I saw it only later).

I got Zoeva Bamboo Luxury set brushes vol. 2

It wasn't until I received the package that I felt hot, and my surprise and excitement reached its zenith. I quickly unpacked the package and my eyes showed ... beautifully made brushes of Zoeva. With the last of my strength, I refrained from trying them out straight away. A huge plus for me is the cardboard tube in the set, which I use to store brushes. The tube itself is very elegant and made of high quality material. For the beautician, who was originally supposed to be used for storing brushes, I found a different role. Is the organizer in my purse. And in this role is also doing great.

Brushes that can be found in the vegan Zoeva Bamboo set

zoeva foundation brush103 Defined Buffer - a brush that I use the least often. I tested it for applying BB Dr G cream, however Beauty blender works much better in this role.

zoeva brush for highlighter and blush105 Highlight - great for applying blush, as well as a highlighter. I apply it with another brush from the Mac Well Dressed blush set. I don't like too much flash on my face, that's why I don't use highlighter. I apply with this brush Chanel matte powdered stone (poudre universelle compacte).

zoeva bamboo face contouring brush109 Face Paint - perfect for contouring the face (which I am still learning). The brush is quite hard and at the same time it blends well. Magic.

zoeva brush for blush128 Cream Cheek - this is my favorite brush for applying blush. It is well shaped and very soft.

Correction Brush Zoeva Bamboo142 Conclear Buffer - concealer brush. The best I've ever had. It rubs the concealer very nicely, making it blend into the skin. First I make "dots" with the corrector, and then I blend the corrector with a brush.

227 Soft Definier - a small eagle owl for rubbing eye shadows. As you know, my makeup has not changed for a long time. I still apply light shade on the entire eyelid, and cover the outer corner of the eye with a brown shade. Then I rub the shadow boundaries for a more natural effect. This brush is doing great.

232 Luxe Classic Shader - a soft brush for blending eyeshadows. Very good with Inglot shadows. I use it to apply shadows, and blend the shadows with 227 Soft Definier.

317 Wing Liner - an oblique brush that I use for making strokes wet Inglot n 63 shadow (very durable, replaces me with eyeliner)

Is it worth buying Zoeva brushes?

The brushes are very soft, made with attention to every detail. Initially, I wanted to sell some brushes from the set (109 and 103), but I decided to leave them. I'm planning a make-up course, so good brushes will definitely be useful.

I usually clean my brushes once or twice a week (depends how often I use them). Cleaning brushes is very easy. I use Protex cream for washingthat washes away all the dirt well then I put brush covers on (which I bought at Allegro) so that the bristles do not get distorted. I put brushes (with small gaps, next to each other) on a paper towel. They are usually dry the next day. After each use, it disinfects the brushes with the disinfectant Octenisept (which I also use for shadows and blushes) and wait for a while until the brushes are dry.

Zoeva brush and eyebrow brush

I bought a brush with the set 231 Petit Crease, which is intended for blending and rubbing eye shadows in the eyelid crease.

Zoeva vegan brush for rubbing eye shadowsI also bought 231 brush Zoeva eyebrow brush, which unfortunately occurs only in the black color version and is not synthetic bristles (it is not vegan). I use this brush before applying Inglot eyebrow gelwhich has the task of subjugating hair. Using a brush, I comb the eyebrows and give them the desired shape. This is my huge helper when it comes to everyday makeup. Zoeva eyebrow brush
