Silken tofu is much more silky (smooth) than tofu, which you can find in almost every store. The second difference is the price. Silken tofu is a little more expensive than usual. This product is intended mainly for desserts, but you know what? In some cases, it's not worth overpaying, because it's enough good blender and the texture of the desserts will be the same. I bought this type of tofu once and I don't think I would buy it again. I don't often make desserts based on this product, and my beloved tofurnik can be made from plain (I recommend Lutner tofu, which, unlike some, doesn't taste like paper). I also recommend checking out the recipe for this delicious tofu spaghetti. In a word - this vanilla cream cheese (in taste it reminds me of vanilla cream cheese) can be made of ordinary, medium-hard tofu (or even hard, but the mass will have to be blended longer).
Today, I have a recipe for you vanilla cheese, which is similar to homogenised vanilla cheese. You can spread sandwiches on it, you can also make dessert from it (break vegan cookies and pour vanilla cheese on them). You can also eat it with a spoon, as was our case.
VANILLA CHEESE WITH SILKEN TOFU
- 1 silken tofu cube (or ordinary tofu)
- half lemon juice, zest of 1 lemon
- sugar with real vanilla (I used real vanilla sugar Oetker)
- 1 step
Silken tofu (or ordinary tofu, which we have previously drained of excess water) is put in a dish in which we will blend the cheese.
- 2 step
We add half the lemon juice, lemon zest and 1 sugar with real vanilla.
- 3 step
We blend everything into a very smooth mass. Depending on whether you prefer more acidic cheese or less - we add more or less lemon juice.
- 4 step
Soak longitudinal vegan biscuits in coffee and pour vanilla cheese.
- 5 step
Sprinkle with cocoa and eat with taste. We can also pour fruit over cheese - a very nice idea for breakfast or dessert.
I am curious about your ideas for such vanilla cheese. Enter your suggestions in the comments.
