Morphology results after 11 months of being veg

A few days ago I was forced to do a blood donation, so I paid a dozen or so zlotys and performed the morphology at one go. The vision of sticking again in a few months did not appeal to me at all, so I did everything right away.

Often opponents of vegetarian and vegan diets threaten that not eating meat are iron deficiencies, etc. Well, nothing like that in my morphology came out. Interestingly, I was doing my last research while I was eating meat, so I could compare it.
Every time I do the morphology, I get quite large iron deficiencies, and this time the results were just 0,5.
As you can see, you are scared that being on a vegetarian or vegan diet is a shortage ... a myth! Nothing like that happens.
Many of you ask how I survive without meat, you say you can't imagine it. I don't think about it at all, and I don't lack meat. Since I don't eat meat, I feel very good, my stomach problems are gone by the touch of a magic wand.

The skin is still in very good condition. Change of diet: a lot of vegetables, seeds and pips do their job. Now I just have to deal with hypothyroidism, which unfortunately has recently also affected me.

Now I know where hair loss, despite proper care, as well as other, among others lethargy, nervousness. I learned about hypothyroidism completely by accident, because the gynecologist referred me to the tests: Aspat, Alat and TSH. An elevated amount of TSH indicates hypothyroidism.

The norm is 4,7 but I have the 5,93 result, so this is how you see a lot too much. I do not know yet exactly what the treatment will look like, because I just got a referral to an endocrinologist, on a thyroid ultrasound and once again (unfortunately!) I will have to draw blood. We'll see what happens next.b

With thyroid problems, giving up meat is a bad idea

In June it will be a year if I do not eat meat and I feel great :) My Lady Endocrinologist knows that I am on a vegetarian diet with rejection of milk, eggs and fish. She had no objections to this :)

Unfortunately, endocrinologists don't know much about thyroid diets. You'll do what you want. I managed to get out of hypothyroidism, reduce antibodies to levels in healthy people and discontinue taking pills. All this without the help of doctors. If I went to the doctor I would probably still have to take pills because the endocrinologist told me that I would never stop taking hormones and it would only get worse.
However, I understand that if you are not convinced of meat, it's by force. Theoretically, I should also go to paleo, where grains are quite excluded, but I felt bad with such a restriction. That's why I allow myself gluten-free cereals except corn. However, I avoid legumes, including potatoes. He watches his body. No doctor is you, not sitting in your stomach and will not know what is better for you than you do.

Exactly :) that's why I stopped drinking milk and eating eggs, because I noticed that after these products I feel bad. I will not go back to the meat diet, only because of the thyroid gland. In August I do morphology again, see if anything has changed. The meatless diet is very good for me, before I had huge problems with my stomach - problems with getting rid of it and just a stomach ache after each meal, with which I have probably reconciled somewhere.
I did not notice that cereals did not serve me, and apparently a gluten-free diet is recommended for the thyroid gland. I'm not going to give it up. I eat a lot of vegetables, the only thing I started to limit is soy, which I have eaten quite often recently.

Unfortunately, soybean with thyroid is not recommended.

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 23 May 2015 / 16: 39

I know, that's why I limit it. I will definitely not give up soy because I like tofu and soy pates 🙂

I recommend a veg diet to everyone, even if not permanently, at least for a while. I feel great after giving up meat in my diet! 😀

It's good to know, actually, vegan or vegetarian diets are demonized, and here I am thinking that maybe I am also wrong with Thyroid because I have a problem with hair loss and weakness in general, so maybe this is a problem 😮

My gynecologist said that 60% of women have a problem with it, it is also worth examining. Already after morphology (aspat, alat and TSH) you will see that something is wrong. I did this research for a fee and paid about PLN 50. but additionally I did morphology, so probably about PLN 45. you would pay for these 3 items. It is worth examining, I suspect that I have had problems with the thyroid for a long time, and nobody has ever diagnosed it. Now, thyroid ultrasound is waiting for me, another morphology (some TS4 ?!) and then a visit to an endocrinologist.

I haven't eaten meat for 14 for two years, but two years ago I got into the fish 😉 So now I eat fish sometimes, the rest still don't pull me. I am also terribly afraid of taking blood, and I would also need to be examined ...

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 22 April 2015 / 08: 47

It is really worth it, if I did not do the examination, I would continue to live in ignorance, and I suspect that I have had thyroid problems for many years ...

I wouldn't be able to give up meat, I don't eat it often, but to reject it - never: p

I also once thought about converting to vegetarianism, but probably I could not give up meat completely :).

Ps. The package has just arrived to me, thank you very much again and best regards 🙂

I kind of eat meat, but not much ... even very little 😉

I have been a vegetarian for nearly 10 years. One day, while making dinner to my husband, I got drooling at the sight of chicken that I had to eat it. The husband did not believe what he saw. 10 years ... I also had good results and everything was fine. It is possible to live without meat

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 16 April 2015 / 16: 43

Haha not bad;) My husband doesn't eat meat either, so there is no temptation; P

    • Avatar Magdalena N. 17 April 2015 / 15: 51

I had the same. I haven't eaten meat for five years and one day I just felt a great desire for roast chicken. I hope, however, that I will be able to return to a vegetarian diet 🙂 My complexion was much nicer then and my metabolism was more efficient 🙂

  13. Avatar Cornflower variations 15 April 2015 / 14: 13

I often do morphologies due to iron deficiency. I am afraid myself when someone draws my blood but I personally love to do it. I wish you health: *

    • Avatar GoodForYouDP 15 April 2015 / 18: 35

I am terribly afraid of taking blood and the vision of re-downloading scares me; P
